Firefighters were on the scene of a major townhouse fire in Carrboro that left a family displaced on Friday morning.

<b>CARRBORO, N.C.</b> — Firefighters were on the scene of a townhouse fire in Carrboro that left a family displaced on Friday morning.

The fire took place on Cedarwood Lane, just off Hwy 54.

Officials said the fire began in the townhome's attic around 2:30 a.m.

Everyone made it out safely, according to officials. However, at least one family was displaced.

Officials are looking for more information about what caused the fire.
