Effective March 13, all town gatherings with an expected attendance of 100 or more are canceled, postponed, or modified until further notice, Town of Cary officials wrote in a press release Thursday.

Decisions about individual events and meetings will be made on a case-by-case basis and announced on townofcary.org/closures.

Officials advice residents to contact the facility directly with questions about a facility rental, or call (919) 469-4061.

Full refunds will be issued for any current or future ticketed town events canceled due to COVID-19, officials said in the release.

The town will also issue a refund to anyone who is registered or has tickets to an event, program, or class that is not canceled, but which they do not feel comfortable attending.

Residents are encouraged to call the facility at which the event was scheduled for up-to-date information, or contact Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources at (919) 469-4061 or Recreation.Support@townofcary.org for refund assistance.
