When looking at developing systems, one of the most important pieces of technology that we have are the spaghetti model plots. Aptly named for their unique pasta-like appearance, these charts depict many different outcomes or simulations for a given storm. Billions of computer calculations are run with different potential atmospheric conditions (i.e., temperature, cloud cover, winds, etc.). The result is shown to be the individual strand, often represented by separate colors. There are many potential outcomes, and no model is 100% accurate.

you know her as one of the morning anchors on today. She's also a mother and author. Her new book This just Speaks to Me is out today. Hoda joins me now from New York. Hoda, great to be talking with you. Rene E love everything. Monica. Liberty sends her love, by the way. I don't get to see her much, but she still keeps us all in line. You know what? She She's top of my list. Monica. I know she's one of your favorites. Well, much like your last book. This is a collection of inspirational quotes, stories and anecdotes. What inspired you to do a second book? I think it was kind of the time we're living in Rene. I mean, there was so much that was going on, and I just thought, sometimes you need light in the darkness. I feel like I'm craving like goodness. I feel like I'm online all the time. Like, give me something good. Give me something good, because everywhere it seems like the world is hammering us. I feel like I'm carrying around heavy backpack and I just wanna put it down like just take it off. And I was trying to find the right quotes, and I just found so many that literally just spoke to me. I had that earlier quote book and people would show up and say, I got a quote hold of this one came from my mom. This is my favorite and they just They just filled the book and it happened so fast, Renee. And that inspired, of course, that title, right? This just spoke to me. And by the way, I'm a fan of your last book. I really needed this. Today it's by my bedside, and I love how it's structured. So it's a daily dose of uplifting quote. So each day you have a quote. This book is much like that format, right? And you also share personal stories as well. Yeah, it's one a day, and I feel like that. That's important just to have one kind of one quote you could take with you throughout the day and also to figure out not just to kind of received the quote, but how you would apply it. I feel like that's where I always fell off. I like a quote and I go, Oh, and then, like how How am I applying that? How is that gonna help make my life a little bit better? Sometimes it makes you feel better when you know you're not by yourself and quotes do that. But sometimes I think there's a step we can take, you know, in our own. We've been trying to be, you know, more of service. And I said to Joel, lack, What are we physically doing that our kids are watching? That's observe ISS. Writing a check is something, but it's not enough. So I feel like it makes you. It makes us want to be better. And the quote certainly capture that. But then also, I love what you share about the quotes, a swell kind of weaving in your personal anecdotes and stories. And I really admire how you are able to share that with viewers. And that's something that that speaks to you, and that's important to you as well. Yeah, well, you know, I feel like all my blessings happened later in life. You know, I've got two kids and a fiance whom I love, and all of it happened after 50. So, um, I feel like there are blessings all over the place if you look for them and this book just kind of highlights that I mean, there's a There's a quote that says You're the sum total of the five people you spend the most time with, so choose wisely. Well, I feel like that's important because that that will describe you know who's in your world and who influences how, what you say or think, and it's important to choose wisely. And I think if you're if you're a person who is wondering, like where my blessings later in life, surround yourself with good people and see what's to come like. I feel like my whole life changed in a blank and, um, it can happen to anybody. And so you know, I think it's important just to kind of lace and foundation so that you're open for changes that are probably waiting for you. Look for that joy. It's all around us and just love your attitude of gratitude. You just radiate warmth and authenticity and can't wait to read your book and gets thank you. January 1st, right? She wore lipstick for you, Hoda, and we got Brian over here. Uh, where are you? Where are you? We're in Raleigh, North Carolina. I know, but you're on the couch like were Oh, no, no, no. We're on capturing. We're not a fancy conference room. I want to say thank you. Um, first and foremost from from my wife and I, because your your first book that we had we had I really needed this today. And my wife and I, uh, my wife had a miscarriage in June, and it was a very tough moment for us. And I want to say thank you. Because that book we actually turned to you several times. And my wife was able to get an advance copy of your newest book. And to quote the stood out Hoda, I don't want I didn't expect to cry with Hoda today, but yet here we are. Um, it says we never get over great losses. We absorb them and they car vis into different, often kinder creatures. And that quote is just It's so powerful because as we've gotten through the fog and all of this Hoda, I feel like when I have seen more of the latter. So this isn't so much a question as it is just too. Thank you. You don't know my wife and I, but I just want to say thank you for helping us out in a really tough time, and you're not even knowing about it. So thank you, Kyle. I first of all, I can tell you how meaningful that is to me in this moment. Um wow. Thank you. E don't even know what just happened in that moment. You know? You know, you know when something happens and you can't I could feel right when you just before you said anything, I already felt you. It was weird, like, really weird. I felt a deep down in here, and I think going through ah, loss like that is something you can't get your head around. And a lot of people don't even know what to say. I mean, who does know what to say in the moments, but, um, you know, anyway, I hope you and your wife are okay. That meant the world. What's her name? Your wife. My wife's name is Sarah. Sarah? Yeah.
