Here's what's happening at the General Assembly on Thursday, May 16.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Here's what's happening at the General Assembly on Thursday, May 16:
  • House Redistricting committee meets to redraw four House districts in Wake County after a court threw out the previous changes to the districts as unnecessary. (10 a.m., 544 LOB)
  • The Senate will debate a package of tax changes when it convenes at 10:30 a.m.
  • The House will consider a proposal to allow counties to raise the local sales tax rate for school needs with voter approval at its 11 a.m. floor session. An override vote on Gov. Roy Cooper's veto of abortion legislation remains on the calendar.
