Here's what's going on at the General Assembly on Wednesday, May 29.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Here's what's going on at the General Assembly on Wednesday, May 29:
  • Senate Appropriations considers amendments to the Senate's proposed 2019-20 budget. (8:30 a.m., 643 LOB)
  • House Finance committee debates renewing the historic preservation tax credit and allowing some capital projects on University of North Carolina campuses. (8:30 a.m., 544 LOB)
  • House Judiciary committee takes up reconstituting state boards after the courts declared their makeup unconstitutional in a separation-of-powers lawsuit. (10 a.m., 544 LOB)
  • Senate Finance committee considers amendments to the revenue section of the Senate's proposed 2019-20 budget. (1 p.m., 544 LOB)
  • The House still has the override vote on an abortion bill veto on its 2 p.m. floor calendar, along with appointing people to UNC campus boards of trustees.
  • The Senate has only one bill on its calendar. The chamber technically convenes at 9:30 a.m., but it won't hold any votes until 4 p.m.
