- House and Senate negotiators unveil their compromise 2019-20 state budget, which will be voted up or down in both chambers later this week.
- Senate Judiciary takes up safety improvements in state prisons and tougher penalties for gang-related offenses. (11 a.m., 1124/1224 LB)
- House Regulatory Reform debates proposed regulatory changes. (11 a.m., 1228/1327 LB)
- Senate Finance considers changes to state building codes and capital projects on University of North Carolina campuses. (1 p.m., 544 LOB)
- House K-12 Education takes up a proposal to reduce testing requirements in schools. (1 p.m., 643 LOB)
- House Energy and Public Utilities debates bills allowing Duke Energy to seek multi-year rates increases and restricting wind farm development in much of eastern North Carolina. (3 p.m., 643 LOB)
- Neither the House nor the Senate have controversial bills on their floor calendars.
