HALIFAX, N.C. — A tip on Wednesday led to the arrest of a man wanted in a Scotland Neck murder.

The Halifax County Sheriff's Office received a tip that Daquan Pittman was in Edgecombe County. Edgecombe deputies located and arrested Pittman.

Pittman faces murder charges in the shooting death of Terrance Lamon Tillery, 19, at a house on N.C. Highway 903 on Saturday. Dontrail Lloyd also suffered a gunshot injury to his ankle during the attack, deputies said.

Allen Duane Peterson, 27, was arrested on Sunday and charged with murder in Tillery's death.

Both Pittman and Peterson were being held in the Halifax County Jail without bond on Thursday afternoon. Their first court date was scheduled for July 16.
