“I’m Tiffany Haddish,” the comedian says while introducing the trailer for “Nobody’s Fool,” her forthcoming comedy. “Some of you Caucasians may recognize me from the Oscars.”

She stole the show with her real-talk humor at this year’s Academy Awards, and she was host of the 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards. She’s also made a name for herself with outrageously funny performances in the breakout big-screen hit “Girls Trip,” as a guest host on “Saturday Night Live” and as Tracy Morgan’s ex-girlfriend on the TBS sitcom “The Last O.G.”

Like “The Last O.G.,” “Nobody’s Fool” concerns a recently paroled ex-convict — only this time, Haddish plays her. She reunites with her corporate-executive sister (Tika Sumpter), and together they set out to catch a “catfish” (an online impostor posing as a romantic suitor).

Haddish isn’t the only comedic heavy-hitter on board. Whoopi Goldberg plays the sisters’ mom, and the film was written and directed by Tyler Perry, whose eight “Madea” movies have grossed nearly half a billion dollars worldwide.

“Nobody’s Fool” will hit theaters Nov. 2.
