As you know, I am hanging out with my visiting brothers and their families this week so I am not posting quite as much on the blog. I did want to share this interesting list I just read of The 40 Most Useful Travel Websites That Can Save You a Fortune from

The list includes some familiar names like, and (one of my favorites).  It also includes some really unique sites like, where you can host folks from around the world in your home or travel to other countries and stay for free at other people's homes. There is also a site listed called where families agree to swap homes for a vacation. The article offers a number of other options for finding cheap airfare, choosing the best seat on a flight, and even information about hostels (they aren't just for college students anymore).

If you are planning a trip in the future, I definitely recommend you take a look at the sites in the article. Now, I wonder if someone in Italy wants to trade houses for a week with me?!
