Raleigh, N.C. — A steady rain moves in Wednesday night and will make for a messy morning commute.
"We have the potential for a soaking from this system that is moving in overnight," WRAL meteorologist Mike Maze said.
The forecast shows a 90 percent chance for precipitation in Raleigh through about 8 a.m., and an 80 percent chance through the rest of the morning.
After noon, skies will clear and some people could see a peek of sun. Temperatures will climb into the mid-50s.
It cools off a bit for Friday and Saturday, with highs only in the upper 40s, but skies stay mostly clear for at least the first half of the weekend.
Sunday will be cloudy and a touch warmer. The mercury should top 50 degrees.
