HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — A construction crane in Hillsborough arced with an elevated power line Tuesday, injuring three construction workers, officials said.

The crane was located next to power lines running along the south side of West Margaret Lane near Churton Street in downtown Hillsborough, officials said. The incident occurred shortly after noon.

The injured workers, whose names weren't released, were taken by ambulance to UNC Hospitals, where they were treated and released.

Power was lost to portions of Hillsborough after the incident, but was restored a short time later.

The general contractor and the construction manager were investigating the accident.
