Three suspects remain at large after a traffic violation that resulted in a chase Saturday afternoon, the Wake County sheriff said.

An officer tried to pull over a silver car on Tryon Road after a traffic violation, and the driver of the car did not stop.

The fleeing vehicle struck a deputy's car farther down on Tryon Road.

The case continued until the car slid and went into the yard of 3028 Olde Birch Dr. in Raleigh.

Three suspects jumped and ran from the car. They remain at large.

"I saw the car pull up in the cul-de-sac and then roll back," neighbor Lance Crawford said. "I didn't realize that someone had jumped out until I saw the officer get out and run around the side of the house with his firearm out."

Officials have not yet released suspect information.

Nearby at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School, WRAL photojournalists captured a large police presence around two people. One was handcuffed.

Officials have not said if the two scenes are connected.
