Three sought in home invasion near NC State

Investigators are looking for suspects in connection with a home invasion and robbery in which two people were injured Monday night at an apartment near North Carolina State University.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Investigators are looking for suspects in connection with a home invasion and robbery in which two people were injured Monday night at an apartment near North Carolina State University.

Raleigh police said Tuesday that the crimes occurred in the 1700 block of Gorman Street shortly before 9 p.m.

A woman who lives at the home was hit in the head with a handgun and a man who lives there was cut on his leg while trying to escape.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but police said his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Gunshots were reported, but no one was shot, police said.

Three men were seen fleeing the area but investigators only had a general description of them.

Each was between ages 19 and 26 and was 5 feet 6 inches tall to 5 feet 8 inches tall. One man was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, and two others were each wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
