Three sought in home invasion near NC State
Investigators are looking for suspects in connection with a home invasion and robbery in which two people were injured Monday night at an apartment near North Carolina State University.Posted — Updated
Raleigh police said Tuesday that the crimes occurred in the 1700 block of Gorman Street shortly before 9 p.m.
A woman who lives at the home was hit in the head with a handgun and a man who lives there was cut on his leg while trying to escape.
The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but police said his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Gunshots were reported, but no one was shot, police said.
Three men were seen fleeing the area but investigators only had a general description of them.
Each was between ages 19 and 26 and was 5 feet 6 inches tall to 5 feet 8 inches tall. One man was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, and two others were each wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
