ENFIELD, N.C. — Three men were found shot in a parking lot in the Halifax County town of Enfield last week, police said Wednesday.

Lt. Jerry Powell said that officers on a routine patrol heard gunshots shortly before midnight Nov. 23 and discovered three men who had been shot in the parking lot of 301 Market, 521 S. McDaniel St. Officers also saw a man running from the scene.

Police identified the shooting victims as Joshue Medina, 24, of Roanoke Rapids, Donovan Sylvonte Williams, 28, and Jermel Markell Nicholson, 25, of Enfield. Two men remained in fair condition at Pitt Memorial Hospital Wednesday, while one had been treated and released.

Investigators found several weapons at the scene and a "large amount" of drugs and cash in the vehicles that Medina and Nicholson had driven, Powell said.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about the shooting or the identity of the man who fled the scene is asked to call Enfield police at 252-445-5122 or Halifax County Crime Stoppers at 252-583-4444. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that solve crimes.
