Three Raleigh businesses hit by gunfire

Three businesses were hit by gunfire Monday night in the 6900 block of Old Wake Forest Road, Raleigh police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Three businesses were hit by gunfire Monday night in the 6900 block of Old Wake Forest Road, Raleigh police said.

The buildings were hit at about 8:45 p.m. No one was injured, but people were inside at least one of the businesses at the time of the shooting.

Brendon Jamall Lyons

Brendon Jamall Lyons, 24, of 220 Rand Road in Raleigh, was charged with discharging a weapon into occupied property, discharging a firearm within city limits, two counts of injury to personal property and carrying a concealed weapon. He was being held in the Wake County jail under $50,000 bond.

The shooting remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-HELP.
