Three people rescued from Fayetteville house fire

Three people were rescued from a house fire in Fayetteville at around 4 a.m. Sunday, according to officials.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Three people were rescued from a house fire in Fayetteville at around 4 a.m. Sunday, according to officials.

The first firefighters on the scene saw heavy fire from the roof of a two story home on the 1516 Buford Court. Crews were able to find the three people inside the home and bring them outside safely.

The fire was brought under control early in the morning, but authorities estimate the flames did around $150,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, according to officials.

Red Cross is assisting the people affected by the fire.
