Three people in custody in Moore County homicide

Three people have been arrested and are in custody in a homicide investigation in Moore County that happened last Sunday.

VASS, N.C. — Three people are in custody, charged with murder following a homicide investigation in Moore County.

Laura Nicole McLean, 37, of Carthage, Edward Jarmaine Allbrooks, 33, of Aberdeen and Patrick Jamar Stubbs, 36, of Carthage are being held in the death of Jeremy Daron Taylor, 40, of Carthage. Deputies responding to a call found Taylor lying in the roadway on White Rock Road near Vass on Sunday. Taylor died at the scene.

McLean, Allbrooks and Stubbs were placed in the Moore County Detention Center under no bond, pending a court appearance.

Investigators have not said how Taylor died or what led to the murder.
