Who knew winning the lottery could cause so many problems? Fortuna Jane Belleweather feels anything but lucky when she wins $58,642,129. In fact, all she can do is read up on the numerous ways that past lotto winners have met a very unfortunate demise. How will Jane spend the money? (Assuming she’s able to cash the ticket at all, since she bought it as a minor. And assuming no one murders her for it). This is the perfect lighthearted read for anyone who’s in the mood for something fun but doesn’t want a romance.

A funny and poignant coming-of-age story. 17-year-old Moon Fuentez is an artist with a passion for the natural world and a deep appreciation of ancient spirituality. She also has a stunningly beautiful, “holier than thou” twin sister who is a rising internet star. Add in a perfectly horrid, dreadful mother and a drop-dead gorgeous arch-nemesis. Let the fun begin.

This powerful mystery about a girl trying to discover the source of an opioid epidemic within her community deals with challenging topics with the perfect amount of grace to make them accessible to younger readers while maintaining the grit needed to do the subject matter justice.
