DUNN, N.C. — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Harnett County, authorities said.

The crash happened about 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Red Hill Church Road and N.C. Highway 27 near Dunn.

State Highway Patrol said a van driven by a 16-year-old boy was stopped at a stop sign behind a truck. The truck turned onto Highway 27, and the van followed without stopping again at the stop sign.

The van was hit by a car driven by a 23-year-old woman who was traveling westbound on Highway 27. The impact flipped the van, which landed back on its wheels, troopers said.

The teen van driver and a pregnant female passenger were taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening. The car’s driver was taken to Betsy Johnson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

More information was not immediately released.
