Three face murder charges in Raleigh shooting death
Police arrested three people Tuesday evening in the Oct. 31 shooting death of Alfonso Canjay Rincon, 42, who was shot outside his Raleigh home.
Posted — UpdatedInvestigators say Rincon was shot in the 6100 block of Foxhall Village Drive while, they believe, he was looking for two men whom he saw peering into a neighbor's car sometime before 1 a.m. on Oct. 31.
Authorities say they believe Rincon had been awakened by a noise and had told his family to call 911 before he left to investigate.
Witnesses told police that while he was gone, the two men were spotted again near his home in a dark-colored sedan.
The case is still under investigation, a Raleigh police spokesman said in an email Tuesday night. He offered no other details about the arrests.
