<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Fayetteville police thanked the public Tuesday for tips that will lead to the arrest of suspects in a theft from Cross Creek Mall.

After police published to Facebook surveillance video of women carrying bags of merchandise out of the mall, the tips came flooding in.

Within hours, police followed up with a social media post that said, in part, "We don't need any additional information at this point. ... Thanks to all who called and submitted mobile tips!"

Investigators believe the suspects are responsible for stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.
