A Bunn High School student was killed in a shooting that happened Tuesday night.

<b>BUNN, N.C.</b> — A high school student in Franklin County died in a shooting Tuesday night.

When police and emergency medical services arrived to 460 Main Street in Bunn, they found 19-year-old Mariano Palacios Hortelano suffering from injuries.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.

Hortelano, from Louisburg, attended Bunn High School.

“He was a very sweet young man. This breaks my heart," said Daniel Wright, principal at Bunn High School

Officials have not provided details about what led up to the shooting or if anyone has been charged.
