Third man charged with murder in Moore County double shooting

A third man has been arrested following a double shooting in Moore County last weekend.

CAMERON, N.C. — A third man has been arrested following a double shooting in Moore County last weekend.

Deputies responded to 118 Helen Lane at about 12:45 p.m. on Dec. 29 and found a man and woman with gunshot wounds.

The man, identified as Orlando Belk, 32, of Moore County, died Sunday at UNC Hospitals as a result of his injuries.

Kenneth Jerome Hobbs Sr., 51, of Fayetteville, was charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

George Bernhardt Rodrick Jr., 37, of Fayetteville, and Robert Lee Gillespie, 54, of Cameron were previously arrested and charged with murder in connection with the case. Gillespie also faces an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.

All three men are being held at the Moore County Detention Center without bond.

Hobbs is scheduled to appear on court on Jan. 9.

Authorities previously said that the suspects and victim knew each other and family members told WRAL News the shooting stemmed from a family dispute.
