Thieves Steal Tools from Goldsboro City Lot

Goldsboro police are investigating the theft of city tools worth thousands of dollars.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police are investigating the theft of city tools worth thousands of dollars.

Police said the thieves cut through a chain-link fence at the Goldsboro City Maintenance Complex on Clingman Street sometime between 11:35 p.m. Thursday, June 12, and 6:30 a.m. Friday, June 13, and broke into several vehicles and trailers.

The estimated value of the stolen tools is $15,000, police said. Investigators said the thieves stole chainsaws, pipe saws, copper tubing and other tools.
