They Were Sent Pipe Bombs. Here’s What They’ve Said About Trump.

One called him a danger to the world. Another said he was drunk on power. A third even refuses to call him the president. This week, packages containing crude pipe bombs were sent to these critics of President Donald Trump and several others.

Trump has his own choice adjectives — crazy, sick, low IQ — for his detractors. He typically reserves one word for perhaps his biggest foe, Hillary Clinton: crooked.

Here is a list of the people targeted in the bombing campaign, and some of their comments about the president — as well as the president’s comments about them.

“I consider the Trump administration a danger to the world. But I regard it as a purely temporary phenomenon that will disappear in 2020 or even sooner.”

“In the United States, President Trump would like to establish a mafia state, but he can’t, because the Constitution, other institutions, and a vibrant civil society won’t allow it.”

TRUMP SAID:

“The very rude elevator screamers are paid professionals only looking to make Senators look bad. Don’t fall for it! Also, look at all of the professionally made identical signs. Paid for by Soros and others. These are not signs made in the basement from love! #Troublemakers”

“Trump and his cronies do so many despicable things that it can be hard to keep track. I think that may be the point — to confound us, so it’s harder to keep our eye on the ball. The ball, of course, is protecting American democracy. As citizens, that’s our most important charge. And right now, our democracy is in crisis.”

TRUMP SAID:

“I guess that’s why she lost. She doesn’t get it. She never did. I knew that a long time ago. Hillary never got it. That’s why she lost.”

“It did not start with Donald Trump. He is a symptom, not the cause. He’s just capitalizing on resentments that politicians have been fanning for years.”

TRUMP SAID:

“How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!”

“The fact that he’s using a security clearance of a former CIA director as a pawn in his public relations strategy I think is just so reflective of somebody who, quite frankly, I don’t want to use this term maybe, but he’s drunk on power. He really is, and I think he’s abusing the powers of that office.”

“When the full extent of your venality, moral turpitude and political corruption becomes known, you will take your rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history. You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but you will not destroy America...America will triumph over you.”

TRUMP SAID:

“Has anyone looked at the mistakes that John Brennan made while serving as CIA Director? He will go down as easily the WORST in history & since getting out, he has become nothing less than a loudmouth, partisan, political hack who cannot be trusted with the secrets to our country!”

“We don’t know what damage has been done to these children. All that we know is they’re in cages. They’re in prisons. They’re in jails. I don’t care what they call it, that’s where they are and Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this.”

TRUMP SAID:

“Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democratic Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!”

“We have an opportunity to send a message to the present occupant of the White House. I never call him the president.”

“It is time for us, as Democrats, to be as tough as they are, to be as dedicated as they are, to be as committed as they are. What Michelle would say is that, you know, when they go low, we go high. No. No. When they go low, we kick ‘em.”

TRUMP SAID:

“He’d better be careful what he’s wishing for, that I can tell you. He better be careful what he’s wishing for.”

“Let me tell you, he’s a joke.”

“A guy who ended up becoming our national leader said, ‘I can grab a woman anywhere, and she likes it.’ They asked me if I’d like to debate this gentleman, and I said, ‘No.’ I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.'”

TRUMP SAID:

“Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy. Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!”

“[Expletive] Trump!”

“Our baby-in-chief ... has put the press under siege, trying to discredit it through outrageous attacks and lies.”

TRUMP SAID:

“Robert De Niro, a very Low IQ individual, has received too many shots to the head by real boxers in movies. I watched him last night and truly believe he may be “punch-drunk.”

“Wake up, Punchy!”

“I really question his ability to be — his fitness to be — in this office. I also am beginning to wonder about his motivation for it — maybe he is looking for a way out.”

TRUMP SAID:

“‘Clapper lied about (fraudulent) Dossier leaks to CNN’ @foxandfriends FoxNews He is a lying machine who now works for Fake News CNN.”

“We’re not defined by a president who mocks a hero, Dr. Blasey Ford. We’re not defined by a president who does not believe women. We’re going to be defined when this state not only says that we believe women, but we elect women.”

TRUMP SAID:

“Take a look at Cory Booker. He ran Newark, New Jersey, into the ground; he was a horrible mayor; and he made statements that when he was in high school or college what he was doing. He actually made the statements. And now he’s talking about Judge Kavanaugh.”

“Stop being mean.”

“Trump flattered Putin who attacked our democracy and insulted the brave men and women of our Intelligence Community. It is disgraceful.”

The WHITE HOUSE SAID:

“Mr. Trump has been meeting the grounds for impeachment from the day he walked into this office — led by corruption, which is in the Constitution. It is the so-called emoluments charge, which says the president cannot take any payment whatsoever from a foreign country which he, of course, does virtually every day.”
