On Tuesday night's episode of 'The Voice', a Durham native was chosen to receive a second chance in the competition. Wyatt Rivers, a Duke University graduate and prospective medical school student, was the third contestant and was not picked for any of the judges teams.

He emulated the musical stylings of R&B singer Leon Bridges by singing the song "River." Unfortunately, his nerves got the best of him and caused his voice to be off pitch. The judges took note and none of them turned their chair.

Despite not being chosen for a team, Rivers was able to make an impression on the judges and audience. When he announced that he will be going to medical school next year, judge Kelly Clarkson called him "Dr. Steamy" and judge Blake Shelton admitted to being intimidated by his muscles.

His lasting impression and solid performance landed him a spot on The Comeback Stage. The Comeback Stage allows singers that have been turned away to have a second chance in the competition.

You can watch Rivers work his way back into the competition on The Comeback Stage digital show which airs on YouTube, The Voice Official App, Instagram TV, Facebook and NBC.com.

Another notable mention from Tuesday night's show was the sixth contestant, Sandyredd. Sandyredd is a mom from Chicago who blew the judges away. Her rendition of 'River' by Bishop Briggs had the judges begging for her to be on their teams.

Each judge even made an offering to her in order to convince her to be on their team. She ultimately choose team Kelly. Clarkson was completely surprised by Sandyredd's choice. Here is her reaction:
