On Monday night's episode of "The Voice" the battle rounds continued as teams were adjusted when contestants were sent home or stolen.

The first battle pair of the night was from team Blake, coached by Blake Shelton. Contestants Keith Paluso and Dave Fenley went head-to-head as the pair sang a rendition of "I'm a One Woman Man" by George Jones. The two left coach Jennifer Hudson speechless and created a tough decision for Shelton.

"So what do you say to that," Hudson said. "Great Job."

Despite the difficult choice between two talented singers, Shelton choose contestant Dave Fenley to continue on team Blake. Soon after, Keith Paluso was stolen by coach Adam Levine.

Another exciting battle was between two members of team Kelly, coached by Kelly Clarkson. Two young contestants, Abby Cates and Delaney Silvernell sang "Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding.

Cates is 17 and Silvernell is 21, due to the age difference between the two the coaches noticed that Cates was slightly less experienced than Silvernell. But that did not stop Cates from winning the battle and continuing on team Kelly. Almost immediately after Cates was announced the winner, Coach Adam Levine stole Silvernell.

In total, there were three steals on Monday night's show. The third steal was Zaxai, a singer from Team Jennifer Hudson (JHUD). Zaxai was originally placed on team JHUD when coach Hudson used her only block against Clarkson to get him. And, on Monday night Clarkson finally got him by stealing Zaxai after he lost his battle against Tyshawn Colquitt.

North Carolina native, Mikele Buck was less fortunate as his journey on "The Voice" ended after a battle with Chevel Shepherd.

Another North Carolina native, Wyatt Rivers saw a different fate.

River's originally auditioned on the second night of the blind auditions and was unable to turn a chair. Fortunately, he got the option to redeem his spot on the show by being chosen to join "The Comeback Stage".

On Monday night, Rivers' cover of "One Call Away" by Charlie Puth went head-to-head with contestant Sam Robbins cover of the Temptations "Ain't Too Proud to Beg".

Both singers gave an incredible performance but Rivers reigned victorious and is one step closer towards being invited back on "The Voice" stage.

Another exciting moment that occurred Monday night, was when Mariah Carey was announced as a key advisor of the knock out rounds. The knock out rounds will begin Oct. 29.

Tune in tonight at 8 p.m. on WRAL-TV and NBC to see who else will be sent home or continue on to the knockout rounds.
