The Diapering Doula, which I featured on the site more than a year ago, recently closed its boutique and now holds classes, workshops and other gatherings in the same space in Morrisville.
Called The Family Nest, the consortium of female practitioners dedicated to supporting Triangle families offers La Leche League gatherings, groups for new moms, photography, cloth diapering classes and more. Later this month, classes focus on helping your baby get to sleep and caring for newborns. Check the calendar here. Most programs are free.

Owner Karissa Binkley, who welcomed her first child about a year ago, decided to close in April and reemerge as a community meeting house.

I felt that there was this need for a community space for families to gather and practitioners to teach gentle child centered programs and empowering birth classes," she said in a release. "With the birth of my daughter, I wanted to spend more time with her and so I now concentrate on my diaper service and share the old boutique space with a group of awesome women "

In June, The Family Nest will welcome an acupuncturist, nutritionist and art therapist.

The Diapering Doula continues to provide cloth diaper services and funds The Family Nest. It's all located on the corner of Davis and Morrisville Carpenter roads in the Grace Park development.
