DURHAM, N.C. — Chefs Vivian Howard and Phoebe Lawless are among those participating in a new pop-up bakery series at The Durham Hotel.
Sweet + Salt kicks off Jan. 11 with Union Special Bread, a Raleigh bakeshop and cafe from Ashley Christensen's former executive pastry chef Andrew Ullom. The pop-up events will last from 10 a.m. until noon in the hotel's coffee shop.
Another notable date is March 21, when Durham chef Phoebe Lawless will bring her sweet and savory pastries to The Durham. She will be including selections from Snack Service, her weekly order-ahead delivery service. Lawless closed her two Durham restaurants, Scratch and Lakewood in July 2018.
