The Children's Place has announced it is closing 300 stores by the end of 2021 including 200 stores in 2020.
According to an article from ChainStoreAge.com, Children’s Place Inc. will be closing 200 stores this year and and another 100 in 2021. The chain has approximately 920 locations in the United States and Canada.

In the article, Jane Elfers, president and CEO of Children’s Place shares, “This initiative will greatly reduce our reliance on our brick-and-mortar channel and we are targeting our mall-based, brick-and-mortar portfolio to represent less than 25% of our revenue entering fiscal 2022.”

The company has not yet announced their liquidation timeline or the location of the stores that will be closing for good.

Many locations in the Triangle are still closed due to the pandemic, but their website indicates that some stores will begin opening as of June 16. See all the details and specific store openings HERE.
