Google News Lab has released its findings for the best times to shop in Raleigh and the times might surprise you.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The best time to visit a shopping center in Raleigh on Black Friday is at 7 a.m., according to Google News Lab.

The lab used data from the 2018 holiday season to help compile the best times to visit bakeries, grocery stores and shopping centers this Thanksgiving.

The worst time to shop on Black Friday is at noon when shopping centers are most crowded, the lab found.

The best time to visit a shopping center on Thanksgiving is at 7 a.m., while the worst time is at noon the day before Thanksgiving.

Trying to get those last minute groceries before Thanksgiving?

The best time to visit a bakery is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at 6 p.m. and the worst is at 11 a.m. on the Tuesday.

Grocery stores are the least crowded at 9 p.m. on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and the worst at 4 p.m. on that Wednesday.

If you are trying to get some wine to go with that turkey, the best time to visit a liquor store in Raleigh is at 9 p.m. on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The worst time is at 5 p.m. that Wednesday.

Thanksgiving week usually brings some new releases to the box office. Google analyzed the best times to visit a movie theater that week and found that Tuesday at 10 a.m. is the best time to see a movie. At 6 p.m. at night, theaters are most crowded.

Travel

The best time to leave Raleigh for your out of town destination this Thanksgiving is Thursday at 6 a.m. The most crowded time to leave is at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

The most crowded time to leave after Thanksgiving is Friday at 3 p.m., while the best time to leave is at 6 a.m. Sunday.
