The TerraVITA Food and Wine Event celebrates the earth and life by pairing together the best organically-produced wine and microbrews with delicious meals incorporating locally-grown ingredients.

This three-day celebration's main event is the Grand Tasting on the Green this Saturday, Nov. 3. Chefs, chocolatiers, charcuteries and cheese makers from across North Carolina will offer their finest goods, expertly paired with some of the world's best sustainably-produced wine and beer.

Many popular restaurants and food vendors are participating, including Herons (Cary), Knife and Fork (Spruce Pine), Mandolin (Raleigh), Harvest Moon Grille (Charlotte), Chapel Hill Creamery, Crippen’s Restaurant (Blowing Rock), 518 West (Raleigh), Weathervane (Chapel Hill) and Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen (Greensboro/Cary), just to name a few.

Beverage participants include De Maison Selections (Chapel Hill), Sour Grapes (Asheville), Authentique Vin (Carrboro), Mystery Brewing Company (Hillsborough), Slingshot Coffee Company (Raleigh) and TOPO Spirits (Chapel Hill).

Tickets for the Grand Tasting are still available. A meal with alcohol is $65, and there is a special "designated driver" ticket option for $55. Tickets can be purchased on TerraVITA's website.
