BLOUNTVILLE, TENN. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has confirmed the remains found on Muddy Creek Road in Blountville, Tenn., last Friday are Evelyn Boswell.
NBC affiliate WCYB reports the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office said the property belonged to a family member of Evelyn's mother, Megan Boswell.

TBI has not announced additional charges in the case.

Boswell has been missing since mid-December. An Amber Alert was issued on Feb. 19 after a family member reported her missing. Evelyn's mother, Megan Boswell, was placed in jail on a charge of false reporting.

Just last week, Angela Boswell, the grandmother of Evelyn Boswell, was released from jail. She and William McCloud were found in Wilkes County, NC after a search for them shortly after the Amber Alert was issued.
