Temperatures will climb for first day of fall
The first day of fall will feature the warmest weather we've had in days, according to WRAL meteorologist Peta Sheerwood.

Both Sunday and Monday will be warmer than the days prior, with highs in the upper 80s and increased humidity.
The first day of fall is Monday, which will be bright and sunny with a high around 89 degrees in Raleigh.
"It's not going to feel like fall," Sherwood said, adding that it will be a while before mild fall temperatures settle in again.
Highs are expected to stay in the mid 80s throughout the work week, entering the 90s on Friday and Saturday.
Central North Carolina is in need of rain, Sheerwood said, but it appears that the week will be mostly dry.
