<b>HENDERSON, N.C.</b> — One Henderson teen died and another was injured Tuesday afternoon when they were hit by a car as they crossed Burnside Road.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Pauline Sue Champion, 46, was traveling west on Burnside Road when she lost control and crossed the center line, hitting Cornell Hester Jr., 18, and Charles Neale Jr., 15.

Hester died of his injuries Wednesday. Neale was being treated at Duke University Hospital.
