CLAYTON, N.C. — Police in Clayton have arrested two teenagers accused of causing $6,000 worth of damage at Clayton Community Park last month.

Alec Preston, 18, and Patrick Pearce, 17, both of Willow Spring, were charged Wednesday with felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and damage to real property.

Pearce was jailed under a $41,000 bond; Preston was jailed under a $52,000 bond.

Authorities say the pair shattered thick large blocks that were part of a concession stand so they could get candy that was being stored inside.
