A teenager was shot overnight on Spring Forest Road while walking with a friend. 



<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — A teenager was shot overnight along Spring Forest Road while walking on the sidewalk with a friend.

Officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to the shooting around 12:15 a.m. and found the 15-year-old at 4900 Capital Boulevard.

His mother said he was shot on Spring Forest Road but ran a short distance, where an ambulance picked him up.

He was transported to WakeMed for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police are investigating and searching for suspects.
