Teen hit by vehicle in Raleigh

A 15-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit by a vehicle on the 1400 block of North Raleigh Boulevard Sunday afternoon, Raleigh police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 15-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit by a vehicle on the 1400 block of North Raleigh Boulevard Sunday afternoon, Raleigh police said.

Juwan Christopher Harrington was struck by a 2009 silver Dodge Caliber driven by Marcus Alfonso Kearse, 22, at about 2:30 p.m., police said. Kearse was not injured.

Harrington was struck while attempting to cross the street with two other individuals, police said. Harrington was the last one to cross when he was hit.

Harrington was transported to WakeMed, where he was last listed in critical condition.

No charges were filed against Kearse as of Sunday night.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
