FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff’s detectives charged a local teenager Friday with engaging in a crime against nature while at school.

Investigators say Xaveair Antonio Hammonds, 17, of 6319 Raeford Road, took his victim to a campus bathroom at 71st High School where the crime was committed.

A teacher found the pair and reported the incident to authorities. Detectives said the encounter occurred on Nov. 8.
