Fuquay-Varina armed robbery
FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — Fuquay-Varina police made an arrest Friday in the Wednesday morning robbery of four high school students outside a grocery store. The suspect is a 15-year-old boy who faces four charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one charge of conspiracy to commit robbery.
The victims told police that an armed man wearing a black shirt and red bandana around his neck approached them at the Shop & Save, at 603 E. Broad St., at about 10 a.m. Wednesday and took their wallets and cellphones. No one was injured.

Police did not say how they linked the suspect to the robbery.

They found the teen Friday afternoon at Fuquay Gun & Gold after employees and another customer identified him.
When police tried to take him into custody, the teen kicked two officers and damaged a Fuquay-Varina police car. He is expected to face additional charges of assault on a government official and damage to property for that outburst.
