RALEIGH, N.C. — Lori Hrehor has been an educator for 16 years. At Athens Drive Magnet High School in Raleigh, her principal says she stands out as a curriculum assistance teacher.
"The kids are teaching me just as much as I might be teaching them some days, just being able to watch them grow especially in high school," says Hrehor.Hrehor works with students with disabilities to support them in reading, writing and math skills."We’re their last stop before they go to college, before they go out to the real world. Before they, you know, have apartments and families of their own. So, it’s really important that we get that foundation solid," she said.
