As a sports and entertainment marketing teacher, Lisa Patterson says her role in the classroom and leading extracurriculars is perfect for her.

RALEIGH, N.C. — As a sports and entertainment marketing teacher, Lisa Patterson says her role in the classroom and leading extracurricular activities is perfect for her.
"I could coach. I could teach. I enjoy being around kids. I like the relationships," said Patterson.
Even through virtual learning at Broughton Magnet High School, Patterson said she’s most impressed by her students who have adjusted like champs.
"The pride that they take and all the hard work that they put in … it’s just … it’s awesome," she said. "They have embraced it,meeting me halfway. We are developing a routine and they are being really productive."
