Select Tastykake Krimpets and Tastykake Cupcakes have been recalled due to the possible presence of metal mesh wire.

Flowers Foods, Inc. initiated the recall after a vendor notified them of the possible contamination in a supplied ingredient.

The recalled Tastykake Krimpets products were distributed to retail customers throughout the United States. The Tastykake multi-pack cupcakes products were distributed to retail customers in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, and West Virginia.

The recall includes various Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets, Tastykake Creme Filled Krimpets, Tastykake Jelly Krimpets, Tastykake Chocolate Cupcakes, Tastykake Creme Filled Chocolate Cupcakes and Tastykake Buttercreme Iced Creme Filled Chocolate Cupcakes.

"No injuries or incidents have been reported in connection with the recalled items," according to the recall notice.

Do not eat these products if you have them. Consumer can return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or throw them away.
