Starting Thursday, July 30, shoppers can now order beer and wine for delivery from Lowes Foods and Target via the Shipt app.

Shipt customers need to be 21 or older to order alcohol. Shipt Shoppers are encouraged to complete contactless drop offs, but alcohol deliveries still require a customer to show a valid id when the order is delivered.

Cities with access to alcohol same-day delivery from Lowes Foods and Target include:

Chapel Hill

Holly Springs

Wake Forest

Shipt offers an annual or monthly membership or you can get a single delivery with no membership.

Customers have the option to pay per delivery with a one-time fee and no obligation or commitment. To try a Shipt Pass single delivery for $10.

A yearly Shipt membership is $99 per year and a monthly membership is $14 per month.

Shipt offers free delivery for orders over $35. Orders less than $35 have a flat $7 delivery fee added to your total to cover the cost of picking, packaging, and processing. A $7 delivery fee may be applied to alcohol orders from select retailers.
