I'm meteorologist, Kat Campbell in the severe weather center tracking the big chill on the way for the weekend. You may want to get the fireplace going if you're lucky enough to have 1 49 with a wind on Sunday morning, feeling cool 44 by Monday morning and a third morning in a row in the forties, 49 by next Tuesday morning, it's all due to this potent cold front to our west bringing some severe weather to parts of the southern us right now, including Texas and Oklahoma. We expect the energy to pass to the north of us and it's also going to weaken some as it crosses over the mountains. So we're not expecting that kind of activity here, but we could see a little bit of rain from this system. It still doesn't look like it would be much for Thursday. We are going to see an increase cloud cover and humidity. Future cast tries to squeeze out a stray Sprinkle Thursday night. I added in a 20% chance for rain, but I don't think most of us will see any rain Thursday. By Friday, we have some spotty showers in the forecast. But as you can see on future cast, we don't expect it to be very much rain and then we don't have high res model data in just yet for Saturday. But we're going to be watching it as it starts to come in tonight into tomorrow. And here's the lower res model data. It's showing the front passing through between about 8 a.m. and noon. And once that front passes, we should be done with the rain but still a chance for some rain Saturday morning, cloudy skies as you wake up and then clearing later in the day, Saturday or northwest wind around 15 MPH kicking in. It's going to be feeling breezy out there. Your football Friday forecast does feature a slight chance of a shower, but I think it's a low impact. I wouldn't expect it to delay any of the games. And as we look ahead to the weekend, we're expecting our highs to fall 73 Saturday, just 66 for the high on Sunday. Definitely taking on more of a fall feel outside Sunday, a dry sunny day, 40 we expect for in the morning. And then as we get to noon, 59 high temperatures in the mid 60 s during the afternoon, all around a chilly day with dinner time, temperatures only around 60 your seven day forecast shows tumbling temperatures that will be gradual though through the weekend and the only day with highs in the 60 S is Sunday, we begin to warm up early next week by the middle of next week. Certainly feeling warmer with high temperatures back near 80 degrees by Wednesday.
