Today is the start of the Swagbucks Scream Challenge: Zombies vs. Vampires! This is your chance to earn bonus Swag Bucks all month long for your team.  I am on the Zombies team, although, if I had a choice,  I would have picked the Vampires since I'm Team Edward! But alas, they don't give you a choice - you are assigned a team when you sign up for the challenge. The Swagbucks folks actually indicated that this challenge will offer the biggest bonus ever!

What team are you on??

Here are all the details from Swagbucks:

"Today marks the start of the Scream Challenge: Zombies vs. Vampires. From now until the end of October, Swaggernauts will have the chance to join a team (Zombies or Vampires) and earn points for their team by completing the Daily Ghoul Meter. Every day is another chance to score a point and help your team rise from the dead. The team with the most points at the end of the month is declared ultimate monster and the winning team gets even more bonus Swag Bucks.

But even if you aren't on the winning team, there are ways to earn bonus Swag Bucks for as little as completing five (5) days of your Daily Ghoul Meter throughout the month. The more days you complete, the more opportunity you have to win bonus Swag Bucks. Who knew the undead were so ready to reward you with more?

The challenge starts on your homepage. Click on "Max Your Bonus" on the Daily Ghoul Meter (it's the October version of your Daily Goal Meter and thus will remain like this the whole month), and you'll arrive at the official Zombies vs. Vampires page to join in on the Ghoulish earning spree.

The multiple tiers of bonus Swag Bucks is a lot to take in for us mere mortals, so here's a quick breakdown of the bonuses:

If you’re on the Winning Team, the team with the most points at the end of the challenge (10/31), this is what you will earn:
If you contributed between 5 – 19 points you will earn your daily bonuses plus 40 SBs.

If you contributed between 20 – 30 points you will earn your daily bonuses plus 150 SBs.

If you contributed 29 points you will earn your daily bonuses + 150 Special Bonus points + 150 SBs for reaching your goal every day of the month.

If you’re on the Runner Up Team, this is what you will earn:
If you contributed between 5 – 19 points you will earn your daily bonuses plus 30 SBs
.
If you contributed between 20 – 30 points you will earn your daily bonuses plus 130 SBs
.

If you contributed 29 points you will earn your daily bonuses + 150 Special Bonus points + 130 SBs for reaching your goal every day of the month. "

Just to clarify, you earn points by reaching the goal on your Daily Goal Meter (AKA Daily Ghoul Meter in October!).  Each day you meet the goal, you get a point.  To reach the goal, earn as many Swag Bucks as you can by searching, watching SBTV, taking surveys, answering the daily poll and more!  To learn more about the challenge, head to the blog on Swagbucks HERE. Also, check the SB Originals page on SBTV later today for a video tutorial of how it works.
New to Swagbucks?

If you are not signed up for Swagbucks, you should be! It's a super easy way to earn giftcards to places like CVS, Starbucks and Amazon.com.  How do you get these super Swagbucks? Each time you need to search for something online, use the Swagbucks search engine on their website (instead of Google, for instance).  I actually have the Swag Bucks toolbar installed on my desktop and it places a search box right on my screen making it super easy to search.  There are also a number of other ways to earn Swag Bucks including taking surveys, answering polls, watching videos and more.

If you are on Twitter or Facebook, Swagbucks also posts links to codes that will earn you additional Swag Bucks. Once you click the link they give you and find the code (they will tell you how to find it) you then copy and paste the code into the "Gimme" box on the homepage of Swagbucks HERE. The Gimme box is on the right side of the page under the My Account section where it indicates: Enter your Swag Code.

You are welcome to post links to where these awesome codes codes are located, like their Facebook page or the Swagbucks Twitter page or the Swagbucks blog, but do NOT post the actual codes.  Feel free to post the location of codes in the Comments section of this post or in the Share the Deals section here on the blog each day but again, please do not post the actual Swag Bucks code. That's against Swagbucks policy.

If you are new to Swagbucks, I bet you are wondering what you do with the Swagbucks points you earn. They can be cashed in for gift cards, books, magazines, movies and much more! I usually cash mine in for CVS or Amazon.com gift cards. A $5 Amazon gift card code is only 450 Swag Bucks and a $5 Starbucks gift card is 635 Swag Bucks.  It's such an easy way to score some freebies while doing the same searches you already do.
It's free to sign up for Swagbucks and only takes a minute. New members get 30 Swagbucks when you sign up HERE.
