DURHAM, N.C. — Two suspects stole a Bojangles' manager's car early Christmas Eve morning after they robbed the business at gunpoint.

The robbery occurred before 2 a.m. at the restaurant on South Miami Boulevard near U.S. Highway 70. The restaurant had been closed for almost three hours, but staff were still inside.

Deputies said an armed man wearing dark-colored clothing approached the manager, who was standing outside, and forced him back inside the restaurant. The suspect took cash from the safe and then fled the scene with the victim's BMW, which was left running in the parking lot so it would warm up.

The second suspect was driving the car, deputies said.
