Detectives in Cumberland County are searching for a suspect who they say broke into a sheriff's office "bait car" and stole more than $400 in electronics.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Detectives in Cumberland County are searching for a suspect who they say broke into a sheriff's office "bait car" and stole more than $400 in electronics.
The "bait car" was parked alongside a rural road near Interstate 95 in Cumberland County on December 15, when investigators say the suspect broke in around 2:30 p.m and stole stereo equipment, a camera and a telephone, among other items. The suspect and an accomplice then fled in a different car, authorities said.
