— One of three men wanted in the death of a 17-year-old boy whose body was found in a burning house last month was arrested early Friday, police said.

Firefighters found the body of Chavalis Boyd, 17, inside a house at 7201 Silver Leaf Road on Sept. 4. An autopsy determined that Boyd had been shot to death before the fire was started.

Police in Phoenix arrested Nathan Jones, 32, of 1913-D Tischer Road in Raleigh. He is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and first-degree burglary in Boyd's death.

Authorities are still searching for two others charged in case: Corey Jermaine Lee, of 128 Thorne Ridge Circle in Rocky Mount, and Brian Carney, 20, of 237 S. Winstead Ave. in Rocky Mount.

The Rocky Mount Police Department has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrests of men.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Jones, Carney and Lee is asked to call the Rocky Mount police at 252-972-1411 or Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111.
