RALEIGH, N.C. — Police on Thursday arrested a 16-year-old wanted in a June shooting at a Henderson motel that left one man dead.

Members of the Raleigh Police Department Fugitive Task Force and the Henderson Police Department located Tevin Lee Daye at an apartment complex on Calvary Road, police said.

Daye, of Oakridge Church Road in Kittrell, is charged with first-degree murder in the June 14 shooting death of David Hicks, 22, in the America's Best Value Inn, 200 Parham Road in Henderson.

Two other people were wounded in the shooting, police said.

Brooks Montel Jones, 19, of 1644 S. Lynnbank Road in Kittrell, was indicted in June on a first-degree murder charge in Hicks' death.

Daye and Jones are being held without bond in the Vance County Jail.
